Andrea Passigli ha studiato in Italia e negli Stati Uniti. Compiuti i suoi studi musicali al Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini di Firenze sotto la guida di Maria Tipo, ha partecipato al Festival di Musica da Camera di Marlboro, U.S.A., su invito di Rudolf Serkin, con cui in seguito si è perfezionato. Riferimenti importanti nella sua formazione sono stati anche gli incontri avuti sin dall'infanzia con Pablo Casals, Nikita Magaloff e Luis Batlle. La sua attività concertistica, svolta in recital e come solista con orchestra, arricchita da un costante interesse per la musica da camera e liederistica, lo ha visto ospite di istituzioni musicali oltre che in Italia, in USA, Austria, Inghilterra, Germania, Russia, Romania, Yugoslavia, Ungheria e Polonia. Ha inciso due CD per pianoforte solo dedicati a Franz Schubert in occasione del bicentenario della nascita, editi da fonè, e un CD dedicato ai Lieder su testi di Heine col baritono Leonardo Wolovsky edito da Ema records. E' docente di Pianoforte al Conservatorio Girolamo Frescobaldi di Ferrara.
Andrea Passigli studied in Italy and in the United States. He graduated from the Consevatory L. Cherubini in Florence under the guidance of Maria Tipo and participated in the Marlboro Music Festival at the invitation of Rudolf Serkin, with whom he later stuidied.. Important points of reference in his education where also his meetings since childhood with Pablo Casals, Nikita Magaloff and Luis Batlle. Mr. Passigli, who has constant interest for chamber music and Lieder, has performed in recitals and concertos in Italy, USA, Austria, England, Germany, Russia, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Hungary and Poland. He has recorded an album of 2 CD with music for piano solo by Schubert,edited by fonè and a CD dedicated to Lieder on texts by Heine with the baritone Leonardo Wolovsky, edited by Ema Records. He is Professor at the Conservatory G. Frescobaldi in Ferrara.
