Claudia Marie-Thérèse Hasslinger

È nata a Vienna. Fin da giovanissima studia danza, recitazione ed in seguito canto a Vienna, Praga e Firenze. Si perfeziona nel repertorio lirico con Paolo Washington ed in quello liederistico con Erik Werba e con Paul von Schilhawsky.
Ha debuttato come cantante-attrice con Die Dreigroschenoper di Brecht/Weill, e come cantante lirica al Festival International de Vaison la Romaine nel duplice ruolo della Tragedia e di Euridice nell’omonima opera di Giulio Caccini.
Da allora ha preso parte a numerose produzioni teatrali, radiofoniche e televisive e svolge intensa attività concertistica con un repertorio particolarmente vasto che spazia dalla musica barocca a quella contemporanea.
Sotto la direzione di Alan Curtis ha interpretato il ruolo di Melissa nella prima esecuzione in tempi moderni di La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola di Alcina di Francesca Caccini .
È dedicataria ed interprete sia come cantante che come attrice-voce recitante di Mondschatten-Ombra di luna e del ciclo per voce e pianoforte Marinesque del compositore fiorentino Alessandro Magini. Recentemente ha inciso Marinesque per EMA-Records.
Nei suoi programmi spesso combina efficacemente repertori molto diversi tra loro, dai classici alle musiche da film degli anni ‘30/’40, alle Canzoni Yiddish, Tanghi e Milonghe ...

Claudia Marie-Thérèse Hasslinger was born in Vienna. As a very young girl she started studying dancing and acting and subseguently singing in Vienna, Prague and Florence. She deepened the operatic repertoire with Paolo Washington and specialized in vocal chamber music under the guidance of Erik Werba and Paul von Schilhawsky.
She made her début as an actress-singer in Die Dreigroschenoper by Brecht/Weill, and as an opera singer at the Festival International de Vaison la Romaine singing the title-role in Euridice by Giulio Caccini as well as the part of Tragedia in the prologue.
Since then she has taken part in many theatre-, radio- and tv-productions and is carrying on an intense concert activity performing a particulary wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. So she sang the role of Melissa in the first performance in modern times of
La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola di Alcina by Francesca Caccini conducted by Alan Curtis,
and premièred, featuring as a singer as well as an actress, Mondschatten-Ombra di luna and the song cicle Marinesque by the florentine composer Alessandro Magini.
Both works, of which she is dedicatee, have been recorded by her for EMA- Records.
In her concert-programmes she often combines efficaciously the most varied repertoires, - from the classic Lied to Russian, French and Spanish Melodies, to Songs from movies of 1930/40, to Yiddish Songs, Tangos and Milongas …
Claudia M.Th. Hasslinger at present lives in Florence (Italy). She loves cats, travelling, the sea.
